PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CornerForge ("we", "us", "our") processes information in connection with the mobile game 4Corners (the "App"). This policy applies to the Android version of the App distributed through Google Play, the iOS version distributed through the Apple App Store, and the related website available at 4cornersplay.online (the "Website").

Where a feature or service described below exists only on one platform, this policy says so.

1. CONTROLLER AND CONTACT

  • Developer / Controller: CornerForge
  • Operated by: Zdeněk Budíček
  • Contact email: 4corners.play@gmail.com
  • Website: 4cornersplay.online

If you are in the EEA or the UK and wish to receive our postal address for data-protection correspondence, contact us at the email above.

2. SUMMARY

The App stores gameplay progress and settings locally on your device. It also uses an online player account for features such as leaderboards, leagues, achievements, and cloud-saved progress. On Android this uses Google Play Games sign-in; on iOS it uses Apple Game Center sign-in. Both platforms use Unity Gaming Services Authentication, which creates or uses a player identifier.

The App uses the following third-party services:

PurposeServices
Advertising mediationUnity LevelPlay (ironSource)
Advertising demandGoogle AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, Unity Ads
Advertising consentGoogle User Messaging Platform (UMP); on iOS additionally Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
Analytics, diagnostics, configurationFirebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config
Accounts, leaderboards, cloud saveUnity Gaming Services (Authentication, Leaderboards, Cloud Save, Cloud Code)
Platform gaming servicesGoogle Play Games Services (Android), Apple Game Center (iOS)
PurchasesUnity In-App Purchasing with Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store / StoreKit (iOS)

These services process the information described below to provide, secure, analyze, configure, advertise, and monetize the App.

3. INFORMATION WE PROCESS

a) Data stored locally on your device. Game progress, unlocked levels, stars, scores, coins, daily reward timers, spin timers, game mode state, audio and vibration preferences, settings, purchase flags such as "no ads", ad frequency counters, and your privacy or consent choices.

b) Player account, leaderboard and cloud-save data. Unity Gaming Services Player ID; authentication information associated with Google Play Games (Android) or Apple Game Center (iOS) and Unity Authentication; leaderboard display name; submitted scores; rankings; league participation records; and progress synchronized to Unity Cloud Save so it survives reinstallation or a device change. Your leaderboard display name, score, and ranking are visible to other players.

c) Analytics data. Firebase Analytics processes app interactions and events, app and device information, Firebase installation identifiers, session information, and similar usage data. This includes gameplay events (for example level starts, wins, and losses), in-game economy events (coins earned and spent, and the in-game source or purpose), advertising events, and purchase events, so we can understand how the App is used, balance it, and improve it.

d) Crash and diagnostic data. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash logs, diagnostics, device and operating-system information, app version, and related technical information so we can identify and fix reliability problems.

e) Configuration data. Firebase Remote Config processes app-instance and technical information needed to deliver and evaluate configuration values used by the App, such as advertising frequency settings.

f) Advertising and consent data. Advertising in the App is delivered through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), which operates an auction between advertising networks. The networks that may participate are Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads and Unity Ads. The mediation service and the participating networks may process:

  • advertising identifiers — the Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS, the latter only where you have granted permission through the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt — and other device or app identifiers;
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP or similar signals;
  • ad requests, impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad views, and the revenue attributed to an impression;
  • diagnostics, fraud-prevention and security signals;
  • your consent and privacy preferences, which the mediation service passes on to the participating networks.

On iOS, Apple's SKAdNetwork framework may be used by these networks to measure advertising campaigns in a privacy-preserving way that does not identify you individually.

g) In-app purchase data. Unity In-App Purchasing together with Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store / StoreKit (iOS) processes purchased product IDs, purchase and transaction identifiers, purchase status, subscription status, and restore or verification information. Purchase receipts are validated on your device. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

h) Notifications. The App can schedule local notifications on your device (for example reminders about daily rewards). These are generated on the device itself and are not sent through our servers; we do not receive their content. You can allow or refuse notification permission and change it later in your device settings.

i) Update checks. On Android the App uses Google Play In-App Updates to detect a newer released version. The App may also request a small version file from our Website; as with any web request, our hosting provider's server logs may record the IP address, time, and user agent of that request.

j) Website data. The Website is hosted by Netlify, whose servers process standard request data such as IP address, browser user agent, and requested URL in server logs for delivery and security purposes. The Website does not set advertising cookies.

k) Support and deletion requests. If you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, player name, and the contents of your message.

4. INFORMATION WE DO NOT INTENTIONALLY REQUEST DIRECTLY FROM YOU

Through normal gameplay, we do not intentionally ask you to provide your real name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photos, videos, microphone recordings, precise GPS location, or payment-card details. Your chosen or platform-provided leaderboard display name may be visible to other players.

5. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

We process information to:

  • provide the App and its gameplay features;
  • authenticate players and provide online accounts, leaderboards, rankings, leagues, achievements, and cloud-saved progress;
  • save and restore progress, settings, rewards, and purchase status;
  • understand App usage and improve gameplay, balance, and performance;
  • detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical problems;
  • deliver and evaluate remote configuration values;
  • display ads, including rewarded and interstitial ads, and run the auction between advertising networks that determines which ad is shown;
  • manage consent choices and privacy settings;
  • measure ad performance and revenue, apply frequency capping, and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • process, validate, and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions;
  • secure and maintain the App and Website, respond to requests, and enforce our legal rights.

6. LEGAL BASES (EEA / UK WHERE APPLICABLE)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we generally rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the App, online features, saved progress, leaderboards, and purchased items or features.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, analyze, debug, improve, and protect the App and Website, prevent fraud, and manage service operations.
  • Consent: where required by law for personalized advertising, the use of advertising identifiers, and analytics — collected through Google UMP and, on iOS, through the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in section 11.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, accounting requirements, or lawful requests.

7. ADVERTISING AND CONSENT

The App shows interstitial and rewarded ads. Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), which acts as a mediation layer: for each ad opportunity it runs an auction among the connected advertising networks — currently Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads and Unity Ads — and displays the winning ad. Each of these services processes data under its own privacy policy; see section 16.

Consent in the EEA, the UK, and other regions where consent is required. The App uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent form before advertising is initialized. Your choices are stored on the device and passed by the mediation service to the participating advertising networks. You can review or change your choices at any time through the "Privacy options" entry in the App's Settings panel, where it is available in your region.

Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS only). On iOS, the App presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not made available to the App or its advertising partners, and advertising is limited to non-personalized or contextual ads. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

If you do not consent to personalized advertising where consent is required, the App may show non-personalized, limited, or contextual ads where allowed. Ads cannot be switched off entirely by refusing consent, but the App offers paid ad-removal options.

8. IN-APP PURCHASES

The App offers optional in-app purchases, including coin packs, a bundle that also removes ads, a separate ad-removal purchase, and an auto-renewing subscription. Unity In-App Purchasing connects the App to Google Play Billing on Android and to the Apple App Store / StoreKit on iOS, which process purchases, payments, and subscriptions. We do not store your payment-card number or similar full payment credentials.

Non-consumable purchases such as ad removal can be restored through the Restore Purchases function in the App's Settings. Subscriptions are managed through your Google Play or Apple App Store account, not by us.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND SHARING

Information is processed by the following service providers when needed for the purposes described above:

  • Google: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Google Play, Google Play Games Services, Google Play Billing, Google Play In-App Updates, Google Mobile Ads / AdMob, and Google UMP.
  • Unity: Unity LevelPlay / ironSource advertising mediation, Unity Ads, Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Leaderboards, Cloud Save, Cloud Code), and Unity In-App Purchasing.
  • Apple (iOS only): Apple App Store and StoreKit, Apple Game Center, and Apple's App Tracking Transparency and SKAdNetwork frameworks.
  • Netlify: hosting of the Website.
  • Authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the App.

Advertising identifiers and related advertising data may be shared with the advertising mediation service and the participating advertising networks for advertising purposes, in accordance with your consent choices and applicable law. Service providers also process data under their own privacy policies and terms.

10. RETENTION

  • Local App data is generally kept on your device until you delete it, clear App storage, reset the App, or uninstall the App.
  • Online player-account, leaderboard, cloud-save, and league data is retained while your account remains active or until you request deletion, subject to technical and legal requirements.
  • Purchase and transaction records required for tax, accounting, or other legal obligations are retained for the period required by applicable law.
  • Support and deletion-request messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate records.
  • Aggregated analytics and crash diagnostics that are not linked to your account may remain in anonymous, aggregated form. Third-party providers may also retain data according to their own legal, security, fraud-prevention, and operational retention schedules.

11. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

In-App and device controls, available to everyone:

  • Review or change advertising consent through the "Privacy options" entry in the App's Settings panel, where available in your region.
  • On Android: reset or delete your advertising ID in *Settings → Privacy → Ads*.
  • On iOS: withdraw tracking permission in *Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking*.
  • Allow or refuse notification permission in your device settings.
  • Request deletion of your online account as described in section 12.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to request access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise these rights, contact 4corners.play@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Sharing advertising identifiers with advertising networks for personalized advertising may qualify as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out by declining personalized advertising in the App's privacy settings, and on iOS by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in another jurisdiction with comparable privacy legislation, contact us at the email above and we will handle your request in accordance with applicable law.

12. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION

You may request deletion of your Unity Gaming Services player account and Player ID, leaderboard display name, submitted scores, cloud-saved progress, and associated league participation records. Follow the instructions on our Account and Data Deletion page.

Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes locally stored progress, settings, and purchase flags from your device, but it does not delete your online player account, cloud save, or leaderboard data.

13. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, and in countries that may not provide the same level of legal protection as your jurisdiction. Where required, our service providers rely on transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Details are available in the privacy policies listed in section 16.

14. SECURITY

Information transmitted between the App and the services described in this policy is encrypted in transit using HTTPS or equivalent transport encryption. We use reasonable organizational and technical measures intended to protect information related to the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Our declared target audience on Google Play and our App Store age rating reflect this. We do not knowingly request directly identifying personal information from children under 13, and advertising in the App is limited to content ratings suitable for a teen audience. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at 4corners.play@gmail.com so we can review and address the situation.
